Just listened to them & like them a lot.. But lacks the over all slam & impact of my 650's.. So I guess the 650's are really bass monsters after all..Will burn in effect the bass any?

for an arbitrary point of reference, i think the dt770pro has more bass volume than my hd25, but the hd25 has more slam

It's something strange, 770 gotta have more bass, at least in quantity. Maybe amplification issue? What version of 770 you're listening to?

OEM vs. OEM the HD650s have considerably more bass and are a much better overall phone, this of course is further enhanced by higher quality amplification. DB really helps bring out some of the better parts of a DT770...to me the differences between an OEM/DB are night and day.

give it time bubba. my 650s sounded AWFUL out of the box. for my pair it took a few days for them to settle down and start sounding good. i almost considered selling them after 3 days because of the absence of the much talked about bass. the 4th day i just got fed up and unplugged everything. i let it be that way overnight and the next morning when i plugged everything back in, there was a LOT of bass. nice bass too! so just give it time. im glad penchum told me not to do something drastic until they were completely burnt in.
