So I did a Head-Fi search of this album, and it looks like it never got discussed at all.

Has anybody else picked this up yet? I picked it up a few weeks ago along with Year Zero, and while I was learning about NIN Favourite Worst Nightmare didn't get many listens. However, I finally got a chance to sit down and listen to it last week, and I love it! IMO it's a substantial step forward from Whatever People Say. What do you think?

*sits back and waits for inevitable Arctic Monkeys bashers*

I didn't think much of the Arctic Monkey's on their first release... But they definitely have it in them to change for the better, they had potential. I also didn't give the album much of a shot, I'll borrow it and see if I can't formulate an opinion to discuss it

The Arctic Monkeys is the greatest band ever, I have Favorite Worst Nightmare and Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.

Loved them since they came out in late '05, recently went to see them in concert here at the Showbox in Seattle and it was also the best concert I've ever been to.

I seriously Listen to both their albums at least once a day...it's quite sad.

ARCTIC MONKEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really like MFWN. The nastier sound suits me more. They've also become better musicians imo. While the musicianship has improved, the lyrics aren't quite as clever on this one imo. Often they slip into the usual sophomore album cliche's. But hey, you write what you know. And groupies and media expectation are what hot touring bands know.

My favorite tracks are "Brainstorm", "This House is a Circus", and "Teddy Picker".

I second the vote for This House Is A Circus. Very cool song.

I have not heard the previous album, but I like MFWN. I bought it out of sheer morbid curiosity, after hearing the name in the What Are You Listening To? sticky, as well as Conan O Brien. The name itself gave me curiosity. Im not going to pronounce them the new saviors of rock or anything else people always do with new bands, but they're decent. To me they mix punk rock with surf (at least on a few songs) and other various Pop elements.

Another song I really dig is Do Me A Favour.

Im planning on getting the other album and maybe some E.P.s but good lord, this band likes E.P.s in high price and quantity, lol. They have like 10 E.P.s at 10 bucks each.

Don't like it very much so far, but it might grow on me with repeated listenings...the problem is there is so much other good new stuff to listen to at the moment!

Understatement!

Big fan of MFWN though, equal with WPSIATWIN so far for me.
