I have been looking for a replacement for my iPod after figuring out that there were much better things on the market. I started by looking at the Cowon D2 and A2, which are very nice, but I would like much more storage. I've looked at many other different players and finally came upon the Archos 404, 504, 604, and gmini 500. They all are very nice and what I'm looking for except for minor things... such as the 504 is a little thick and the 604 is a little bulky. I'm having trouble deciding what to get. Can anyone help me out here? I like good sq, decent battery life, able to play video, at least 30gig. Any suggestions? what do you guys think of the Archos 04 series or gmini500?
thanks

Vision:M's pretty decent. All of these companies could really use improvements on their firmware, though - so slow, all of them.

Archos is going to update their players to the 5 series soon, so it might be worth it to wait it out.

No, but Archos is holding an event in next month to show off their new players. A little birdy told me.
