Archos Case, Screen film-- ideas, improvisations?

Looking for an 80 GB Archos 504 case (dimensions 5" x 3" x 1"). Anyone have any ideas?

The closest I've gotten are PSP and hard drive cases.

I'd prefer a more specific design. Hard drive cases are made for transport, and PSP cases are wide on either side.

At least PSP cases are available and cheap. I can throw stuff in on either side. Any recommendations on this are fine, but less preferred. The idea is that the dimensions are similar.

What I'm looking for is:
tough on the outside (ballistic nylon, metal, plastic)
soft and fuzzy on the inside (hd foam perhaps--some kind of shock protection)
close fit to the above dimensions

I'm also thinking about a screen protector--like a film thing. I can't find anything made specifically for Archos 504.

Anyone? Given what I've found so far, I expect no one to know what I'm talking about.

Has anyone improvised any solutions? I'm thinking of getting a plastic bag for now. In the meantime, anything that fits the above dimensions would be a start--I have nothing. And very few cases exist that are about that size.

I'll keep an eye out as I am considering this player too. I have a ton of gift cards that are burning a hole in my wallet

On a side note, I've tried searching but can't find an answer; does the 504 have a line (without being connected to the dock)?
