First off, I would like to thank (and recommend) Alex at APureSound for the help and the time he spent with me via email and handywork on my D2000's as he re-cabled my cans with his V3 cable.

Second off, if this is in the wrong section of the forum I am sorry! Move it if it is, please!

Now, I am going to get straight to the point... this cable is simply unbelievable. I thought my Denons were great before, but they went to a completely new level with the pairing to this cable. I am not very good at reviews, but here is what I have noticed thus far (received the cable this morning)...

-Louder at all volume levels on my Cowon S9 player.
-WAY better instrument seperation.
-Little sounds/instruments/details that I have never noticed in my music (even my favorite songs).
-Tighter, more crisp bass with about the same punch (maybe even a little more).
-CRYSTAL CLEAR highs that I don't know could get much better from here, regardless of new mods.
-Slightly enhanced mids that seem more defined from the lows than before.

Basically the entire sound of the cans changed, and changed A LOT in a great way. They sound absolutely incredible, and I could not be more satisfied. Alex said they will not only sound this great, but will improve again around the 120 hour burn in mark (though I really don't know how they could). If you were thinking about pairing your D2000's with this cable, I say that it is a MUST and highly recommend that you use Alex to do the job! Thanks again Alex, now back to my music!

I get my paycheck tomorrow and am placing an order immediately to have my D5000s recabled! Can't wait!

What was the turn around time on yours (as in how long were they in the shop before he shipped them back)?

You should realize that the D5000 has a better cable than the D2000 in the first place.

The D2000 cable is suppose to be rather.. bad..

Just keep that in mind =)

Yeah I realize that, but I need them recabled regardless cause I hate using an adaptor for my Compass, and the D5000 cable is RIDICULOUSLY stiff in stock form, and very prone to kinking and tangling.

I have a hard time seeing how a stiff cables make it prone to kinking and tangling.. but ok =)

EDIT: on a side note, can one of you tell me:
when you get a headphone recabled, do they send the stock cable back with it?

I can answer this one.

When you have any headphone recabled with APureSound even if the stock cable is damaged the cable will be sent back to you along with the headphones. We never keep the stock cable unless the customer tells us to keep/trash it.

Thanks,
Alex

Because when you bend it it tends to not bend back on it's own.

so, it's kind of like solid wire then? weird.

No. More like trying to unkink or untwist a garden hose. A single twist in the cable will cause it to want to loop.

Necrolic,

I shipped them via UPS to Alex on a Tuesday and he received them three days later (Friday). He had them completed and on my doorstep 18 days later (Tuesday). I was very impressed with the turn around time to say the least.

Alex,

Enjoying is an understatement, thanks again!

Awesome.

Unfortunately due to customs from Canada it'll probably take more like a month for me, but I'll have to live!
