Sadly that Eximus DP-1 has been discontinued.  It is one of those audio products having great form, function and sound.

"Chord Hugo vs. Eximus DP-1. Anyone do any comparison?"

I own Eximus Dac and get to hear Chord Hugo. I didn't think that hugo is better than Eximus or vice versa. Both sound analogue. Eximus sounds sweeter, lushful, hugo sounds bit truer to life.

Hi! Looking for closed-back headphones (about $1000 price maximum), that will be in full harmony and compatibility with DP1. So, what closed-back headphones will be the best for DP1? Denon 7100, Sony MDR7, Beyerdynamic T5p-2, Fostex 600/900?

satisfied me at once. But moderately priced amp like Burson Soloist + Eximus DP-1 is even better
dont even try to deal with Denon 7100 - it sounds cheap.

One very nice thing about the Eximus, this is the first Dac that took only about 36 hours to break in. Every other Dac I have used takes 400+ hours.
It would probably be more accurate to say that the Eximus is so good that it only took you 36 hours to grasp and fully enjoy its sound. 400 hours of "Break-In" sounds to me like 400 hours to get used to a Component's sound, which is in itself not very reassuring...:triportsad:

I still have my DP1 and can provide you with the drivers if you'd like. Driver package is about 11mb.
Thanks. I've had mine since new and still have the original disc based drivers. Every attempt at an upgrade in that time has been a failure such is the quality of the Eximus. Unfortunately I lost the memory stick with the latest drivers before they closed the business so I'm back to 1. 2. Is there anyone or anywhere that has the newest drivers or ones for a similar xmos device?
Thanks

Hi guys,
Just wondering how many are still using the DP1 ?
Last month I upgraded the main system to a chord Qutest/ MScaler duo and been playing more music than ever ...
DP1 is a keeper for Occasional mobile duties with laptop and powered Sub/ satellites but recently hooked it up via toslink to
the MScaler as a headphone amp and it’s never sounded better ... obviously a more than capable DAC/ headphone amp to pass on the sound
quality out of the MScaler ...
