Can anyone help with easy-to-follow steps on converting APE to OGG?

Tips on retaining tag info would also be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Peace,

Graz

OggDropXPD is the way to go. I use it for all my FLAC to OGG conversions, and It's pretty damn powerful. All the comments are transfered over intact and correctly. Replaygain info is transfered over. Files are then named and sorted into my standard directory structure ("band"/"year" - "album"/"track number" - "song title") based on a naming/sorting convention I set up within oggdrop. It's pretty powerful and handy. I imagine it works just as well with APE as it does with FLAC.

I use foobar2000 for transcoding from FLAC and MPC into other formats. It works quite well.

Yup, just highlight the stuff you want to transcode, right-click and select convert. The first time you'll have to go to settings and select ogg, then select run conversion. Once it gets going you can even select other music to listen to.
