Anything new at Grado?

Say, a "reliable source" told me that the HF-2 will be wood, with the old joe grado styled headband, and be the same price as the SR225

How about Faux wood for the HF2 rumor? Maybe Grado switches to Trex material

Or maybe Grado goes carbon fiber on the iGrados.

If we're going make real suggestions, I'd like to see mini jacks on the cans for detachable cables.

That would make recabling / removing the Y connector much easier.

SR-525 (very nice and symmetric name), anodized black titanium housing. The SR-525 is (secretly) an upgrade of the PS-1 ... at only the price of an RS-1.

No need to create a new model, they just have to start manufacturing those good old HP-2 again and sell them at the same prices they used to sell.

It has been rather long time since HF-1 was released. Because it turned out to be very succesfull model, I wonder why Grado hasnt added it to their permanent line-up.

Perhaps a new top-line model to SR serie? SR-425? It would be a hit, im 100% sure of it. Or perhaps thats what Grado fears, it would be too much of a hit?

Ah ... it will be like nothing compared to GS-2000, which uses two types of wood. One is the old, dense alpine spruce that Stradivarius used in his violins, as may be expected. Less expected is that the GS-2000 is semi-semi-closed, or quarter-closed, if you wish, with the closing wood actually being lark! This elevates the sweet timbre of female vocal and string instruments compared to the GS-1000, yet lets it retain its soundstage. The new drivers use a new material initially developed for military applications as a lightweight yet strong replacement for kevlar, and sustains the GS-1000 strong and controlled bass right down into rumble territory. In his review of these headphones in 2011, markl made a point of burning his old R10 "as I will never be able to listen to them again".
