Hi all,

I've had a little bit of trouble finding reviews of LO cables for an iPod. I just find what most people say "ALO is great quality" and those who seem to be anti-ALO

And I know they're one of our sponsors, so many thanks to them.

I've done some searching through peoples sigs, the forums, and have found these so far:
ALO
Qables
APureSound
Zu pivot
Cardas

I'm not so much concerned about price as quality, but the quality

rice ratio must be good for me to go high in price. If it's a $100 difference between an ALO and another cable with near exact sound quality... I'm obviously going to go for the lesser in price

But if it's worth that $100......

So to give you an idea of my rig: regular iPod, RSA Tomahawk, E500's.

Some members also seem to make cables, anyone had experience with member made cables in terms of quality/price/sound compared to the commercial cables?

Thanks!
George

Yeah, I'm not sure Zu or Cardas make line out docks, though I could be wrong. I just ordered one from head-fier Turbo...he's been nice to deal with and I have heard good things. Mine will be a dock-female into which I will plug a 6" Cardas cable.

Moon Audio will make a Line Out using Cardas Cable.

I have 2 ALO Cryo LODs and a Turbo Diabolous LOD.

Both the ALO and Turbo are fantastic, well made and do what they advertise.

ALO can be ordered from their site, while info on the Turbo can be found here (when the site gets back up): http://www.fixup.net/talk/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1995

Alternately, you can PM Turbo on this forum and he responds like before you even write. Turbo will build and customize your LOD to mostly whatever specs you provide.

Both LOD builders are great communicators and ship their product very quickly.

Good luck!

thanks for the response!

is there any noticable sound difference between the cables you have mentioned? I'm just trying to get a couple opinions on sound difference amongst cables.

I'm also interested in knowing.

I was looking at this cable

But if there's a huge noticeable difference in SQ between something like that, and say.. the Bling Bling LOD (one step lower than Cryos) then I'll probably prefer the higher priced one.

APureSound has great cables. Well worth the price.
