I'm considering a WooAudio2 for my next purchase and would like to hear from anyone currently using this model. Is it silent? Does it need an extensive break-in period? Are you satisfied with the standard tubes or have you made replacements? I'm using Senn 650's with a Zu Mobius cable.

Anything you can share will be much appreciated.

If I didn't buy the WA5 I probably would have bought the WA2. The only time I heard it was at the National Meet and I loved it with my HD-600s. I heard it in a noisy room but I really liked it. I head it with stock tubes and I believe it was fully burnt in. I wish I could provide more info but my time was limited and it was not in ideal conditions. Send an email to Jack, he's a great guy to deal with.

There is another head-fier who bought a Woo 2 and posted his impresssions on a thread not too long ago but he got really upset when people started talking about tubes and other related stuff and bailed out of the thread. Despite his stange behaviour, he does post some interesting and enthusiastic impressions.

If you do a search you should find it.

I was really impressed with this amp/preamp and if I had not already commissioned a custome built amp it would have been on my short list as a headphone/pre amp for mt first watt f1. It sounded great with my ps1s and 650s. It would be my go to amp for under a grand.
It's best feature is also it's worst the 2a3s are great tubes with plenty of tube rolling options but NOS pairs can be pricey

I think you are referring to me. I stopped posting to that thread because it was completely hijacked by people who were interested in discussing tubes and not the Woo Audio 2. Also note that not one of them actually owned a WA2. My repeated requests to keep the thread on topic were ignored and I felt like was wasting my time. It's as simple as that.

I'm very happy with my WA2. So much so that I have commissioned Jack to design and custom build a pair of 300B based monoblock amps to power my speaker rig.
