Recently picked up a Motorola V710 and notice dwith Transflash slot and MP3 player built in it can be used as a portable player. Yeah I know a separate may perform better, but this is for minimizing the load.

Just curious if anyone is doing this and if so what is the sound quality like?

If not anyone have any experience with any other Moto phone?

My mate uses the E380 and he downloaded a app called MP3 player and it takes ages to load but does a better job (cause you can browes the songs like an ipod without acutally stoping the musc) than the stock motorola sound playing thing...

God i hope that made sence

I don't know if the V710 has a dedicated 2.5mm out, but if it doesn't and you must use the proprietory earphones, then the sound quality is going to be.. well.. "bad".

I have a Nokia 6620 SmartPhone, meaning it runs on Series 60 Symbian. Advantages to it include the ability to multi-task. I have 512mb on there and its my backup player. Truly only a backup as the sound quality out of the handsfree is quite bad. Now, as a video player, its a whole different story
