Hey head-fi, I was wondering if any of you have ever used this eBay seller: eBay My World - idealsound and what your experience was? They seem reputable enough to me with their high feedback, but I don't really know too much about eBay and whether its possible to fake things like that, so any insight on this seller is appreciated.

I always buy from him. He's very reputable and a great person to deal. Some months ago, a package went lost and idealsound replaced it promptly. He deserves the good feedback.

I purchased some Shure olives from them a while back. They got them to me fairly quickly and they were the genuine article. I'd recommend them.

I ordered some Shure and ETY ear tips and an ETY zippered earphone case from them back in November and never received anything, although my account was debited.

I emailed them and they replied saying they always stick by their customers and I could have a full refund or they would send replacements, my choice.

I emailed them back (which incidentally was a pain in the nuts as you can't reply direct to their email, you have to contact them through EBay messages) letting them know I would like replacements.

They then sent another email (replying to my answer) asking the same question, do I want a refund or replacement?

I went through the pain of replying again via EBay saying I wanted replacements and they sent me another reply asking the same question again. What!

I then sent them another message via EBay stating that I didn't want a refund, just what I ordered, and please could they stop asking me the same question over and over again and just send me what I ordered.

This is where we are at the moment, I've paid for the goods but received nothing (yet!). I'm just hoping they are going to come through with my order soon or I'll have to get onto PayPal (more messing about).

They seemed quite genuine in their emails, just incapable of reading what I had written. I don't want to slag them off unnecessarily, so will update this thread if I do in fact receive anything from them.

In the meantime I've had to order the Shure tips from somewhere else, which I received three days later.

Incidentally, I live in the UK.

I bought most of my Shures, Etys, and some filters from him. Got everything I paid for in a timely matter + plus the best deal out there for tips/filters.

Just to put matters straight, I received the replacement tips and case today from head direct and so can only assume that there is someone who works for the Post Office who is now walking around with new Shure tips (from my original order) on his/her IEMs.

Thanks Head Direct.

I've used idealsound dozens upon dozens of times since I discovered them and never once had any problem whatsoever and considering they are the cheapest to buy from I wouldn't go elsewhere.
