Does it make any sense to upgrade the cables for the Audeo PFE232 to something like the Baldur Mk2 or something?

I don't think anyone actually has that specific connector head/pin readily available, so they'd have to custom-mod the existing cable to fit another cable in. Not sure anyone has had the guts to do that yet.

So it looks like no one has done it yet. I wonder if the connectors head/pins are available for purchase.
