Anyone Plays Demon's Soul (PS3 Game)?

I just got the game today and I have to tell you my gaming ego never been hit this hard before.
I know they were saying the game was brutal hard but I didn't know it would be THAT hard.
I died many times literally within the first 15 minutes of the game. Never had that bad experience in RPG game.


But it's fun. Although I still don't quite understand how the game works.
Also can anyone explain to me the symbols on the equipment stats? I know the meaning of the symbols on your character stats but not the equipment ones.

The trend in hard games these days is to unlock “Easy” mode for you once you’ve died enough times. Do you think Demon’s Souls does that? Do you think Demon’s Souls is so much as aware of the concept of “Easy” mode? NO IT IS NOT. If Demon’s Souls even knew we were talking about “Easy” mode, it would come over here and kick the **** out of all of us. And we would deserve it.

I’ll tell you what happens in Demon’s Souls when you die. You come back as a ghost with your health capped at half. And when you keep on dying, the alignment of the world turns black and the enemies get harder. That’s right, when you fail in this game, it gets harder. Why? Because **** you is why.

Have I told you about the online elements? At any time when you’re in Body form, another player from anywhere else in the world can invade your game and murder you to regain his own body, or just to keep you on your toes. This happens when you’re in the middle of fighting armies of unthinkable monsters that are probably already three-quarters of the way towards killing you. And no, you cannot opt out of this feature! This is what you signed up for when you agreed to be a man.

When this happened to me -- when a guy strolled into my game like it was Taco Bell and exploded my torso, costing me my body and all my progress in the level -- was I mad? No, because I was too busy being in awe at how ****ing hardcore the experience was.

Now, don’t let this dissuade you. Demon’s Souls is a pitiless master, but let it never be said that it is not fair. The game rewards handsomely those who stand up to it, and the greater the challenge, the greater the glory.

What the hell are you waiting for?

The graphics are pretty good and succeed in creating a definite mood, but the storyline is weak and presented mostly through stills, which isn't very involving. Melee combat takes a good amount of foresight and timing, but magic and ranged (bow) combat are much too simple (most enemies have no ranged attack, and with a good bow you'll have more range than any of them, making ranged combat very 1-sided.)

The weakest points are definitely the targeting system (it's automated and tries to pick out what you want to target, but does a pretty poor job-I wish they would've just let you cycle through targets manually) and the hidden falls, which are sometimes very difficult to see in advance and lead to automatic death.

I'm hoping for a sequel that addresses these issues, because I think this series has a lot of potential.

You set it to cycle through targets manually.

I liked the game a lot as I enjoy a good challenge. You will die a lot in the beginning until you find a weapon set up you like and can take more than one or two hits. The most important thing to remember about this game is be patient. Don't try and take on too many enemies early on especially when you're late in the level. Anyway best of luck to you.
