Hey, I just heard a couple songs from the Black Keys off of the Rubber Factory album and liked them. I was wondering if anyone has heard/owns the CD and what they think of it. Is it worth buying?

I like them a lot. I've seen them live 3 times in the last year. They put on a pretty good live show too. I was surprised the first time I saw them that it's only a two piece: guitar/vocals + drummer. Rubber Factory is the newest album and is very good. I also like "Thickfreakness" which is the one prior. There was one called The Big Come Up before that as well as an EP. I haven't heard those beginning to end but have heard some selections. They are good as well.

I like their sound a lot, and I swear I can hear Jimi Hendrix floating around in there somewhere. One of the best blues-rock gigs out right now IMO.

Yup, I have both Thickfreakness and Rubber Factory (listened to the former much more, just due to purchase time).

Great, talented, gritty dirty rock. Brings back the b*lls to rock, but in a dusty road kinda non-glam way. Me likey.

I think you can't go wrong with any of their albums. They all have a similar vibe, but manage to sound different in their own ways. I saw them live and have a few of their live shows and for two guys they put on a great show.
