Just started getting into it...its an incredibly insane and complex mixture of Gabber/Hardcore with breakbeat overlays/interludes.
Alot of stuff usually going on so its kinda of hard to describe.

Anyone know anything about the genre and if so, can you offer up artists or DJ's?

I heard some breakcore trax several years ago, but i didn't like them. The recording was just terrible on most of them. Even when the music was great, the constant distortion ruined the whole thing for me.

If u like complex hardcore sound, give a shot to Dj Promo's (Sebastian Hoff, Dj RaW) Records. His Label is: The Third Movement. If i had to describe his sound with one word, the Industrial would be the best phrase for it.

I can't really comment on this, because i only know Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares from these, but i copy here what my friend replied to Your question:

"breakcore is a totally unique, cross-mixed style, which is fully influenced by many styles and cultures, including hardcore, speedcore, noizecore, techstep, chiptune, rock/metal, and others. every producer walkes his own way and has got his own unique sound making him quite different from each other, so they aren't comparable. they are very sick people with an absolutely briliant genius. while idm is a calm and very depressed style, breakcore is chaotic, raging and very destructive."
