How do you find the sound on redbook compared to the other players that you have/have had or compared it too? My main reason for getting one would be for sound quality and then features. I love the features of the palyer, with cd text and the carousel and multi format capability, but if I can get a player that is redbook only, single disc, that sounds significantly better I would buy it over this, as sound quality is paramount.
I must state that I cannot hear for myself because I live in the Caribbean and these products would cost an arm and a leg here (this player at ~US$500 would probably cost ~EC$3500 - EC$5000. When converted back to US, we are talking ~$US1300 - US$1850. Another case in point; a mini sized Coby DVD player costs about EC$400, ~US$150. I am sure it only cost about US$ 35 - US$40), so stores wouldnt bring a player like this here because the consumer would buy the Coby instead because of cost.
Anyway thanks for your comments, and if you have anymore comments on sound quality of this player I would be greatful. I have very few references as far as players are concerned. I have only seriously heard the Sony CDP-XA3000ES and the Rotel RCD951 cd players, and my setup which is an Maudio SuperDAC 2496 and a portable player with optical out.
