Welcome to head-fi. (Sorry for your wallet.) Also sorry, but I don't have any experience with that line. Anyone else?

Who knows? Maybe they're like the lesser-known Alessandro of Sennheiser

They've only been out for a month or so:

Using 40 mm drivers throughout, with modest to fair sensitivity (105 dB/1Vrms at 32 ohms is only 90 dB/1mW; an old DIN norm called for at least 94 dB/1mW on hi-fi cans). The DR150 seems to be positioned against the HD555, hard to tell whether it'll have a chance. The DR100 could still be interesting for a comfy circumaural headphone that doesn't break the bank, but the competition from Sennheiser and Philips isn't negligible.

Seems these have only been announced very recently and I can't find anywhere actually selling them yet. Certainly looks intresting given Goldring's reputation. For those intrested pricing will be £30 for the DR50, £40 for the DR100 and £70 for DR150.

That's the thing... they look like an absolute bargain to me.. just wondering what cans they are actually pegged against or what their sound will be like.. anyone tried them and able to give a review of any sorts??

The site i looked at wants $123.00 for the DR150's and that includes shipping to the US. Goldring is a well established company that is most well known for turntables and cartridges. They did make a pair of headphones in the early seventies. I may have to order a pair and give 'em a go. Detachable cord too. Easy recable!
