Just wondering if there are any head-fiers at UC and if by any long, long shot they are looking for a roommate (mine isn't looking so hot). Of course, you could use all of my gear whenever you wanted to!

Is your roommate about to keel over, or do you want a more attractive roommate?

I graduated from DAAP at UC, if I tell anyone where I live that I attended UC, they say, "which one? LA, Irvine, San Diego, Santa Barbara?" I say, "Cincinnati". They say, "really? I didn't know they had a campus all the way over there."

Let's just say we're not hitting it off so well.

It's amazing how few people have heard of the University of Cincinnati. DAAP and CCM are among the top programs in the world.

Did you live in dorms or off campus by the way? I REALLY wanted to grab a University Park apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room, not to mention about 100ft away from CCM) but they won't let freshmen live in them unless your parents live 50 miles away. What the hell? Instead I'm stuck in a 15x11 ft room with no bathroom and a socialist, flamboyantly gay, anti-American, anti-sports, bong-smoking, liquor sucking roommate. I have a feeling this dorm thing isn't going to be all it's cracked up to be.

LOL, you have only one roommate? I had three.

I lived in the Daniels Hall my first year. Then lived in a few apartments. First one was literally a closet (smallest place I've ever lived in. Shared it with 6 roommates, we pretty much rented an entire house, it was a $#ithole for sure. Then I lived in an apt across from McMicken on Clifton Ave. It was in between the frat and sorority houses. They were all leveled and those really nice University apartments were put up. That place was a craphouse as well, not sad that they got rid of it.

Suck it up and live the first year in the dorms, you'll be able to get to classes faster. (well, depending on where they are). It's a rite of passage, but dorm life sucks (as far as amenities are concerned), but you'll look back on it fondly in the future. Not that you'd want to do it again, mind you. But trust me, live it up while you can, first year is cake compared to later years. Do all the partying you can, meet as many new people as possible. Dorm life is a great way to do so.

If you can't afford those luxury University Apts, look a few streets down from them, especially streets off of Jefferson near DAAP. I sublet a really nice place there my senior year.

Funny, I'm almost praying that my two suitemates end up similar to this. I've had far too much of the pro-war anti-intelligence redneck type. Even an angry drag queen sounds better than my previous roommate.

I'll let you know how it goes. At least rednecks enjoy the occasional baseball game. However their love of Nascar could become grating after a while...

Why did it suck? I have mine on the 16th and the 17th. What should I expect? Any tips?
