My dad had this old Kenwood system that has been collecting dust in our garage for several years so I decided to resurrect the amp and the amp control (KC-106) and check it out. This was probably originally purchased sometime in the 80s I would think.
I'm using it right now with an iPod line out and my MS-1 and I'm really enjoying the sound. It adds a very nice bottom to the MS-1, which I felt was lacking before. I'm glad I now have a desktop amp that replaces my little T2 which I was using for desktop and portable use. I was just about to buy an amp but I'll gladly use this for a while until I really want to upgrade. I'll probably buy a DAC for my laptop and some little bookshelf speakers and I'll be a happy camper.
This thing is pretty big though, takes up a lot of space.
Sorry about the flash, my room has bad lighting.
