i have the anc27. i have had several noise cancelling headphones- they are a must for long flights!
the anc27 is actually better than most. sound is typical technica, with forward highs, recessed mids, and good bass thump. the noise cancelling technology on these is among the best i have heard. they are circumaural but if u have huge ears they might not be big enough. construction is very plasticy

for comparisons sake- i have had noise cancelling headphones from bose, sony, able planet, akg, jbl, jabra, and jvc.

Hey thanks for the prompt reply. I am not exactly too sure what forward highs and recessed mids mean, but I am quite inclined to buy these headphones. This is mostly to drown out noisy kids on the subway and bus commute to my college campus, and a lot of listening at home on my laptop.
