i heard about her in a review in sterephile several years ago. i got her first two albums "kim richey" and "bittersweet" shortly there after and find them to be some of the best albums in my collection. i find the honesty of the music and the way she sings to be very addictive.

unfortunately, i haven't gotten that same feeling from her subsequent albums . . .

But that doesn't reduce my enthusiasm for those mentioned above! I feel part of a small group of people who know of her -- many more should!

I have her first 3 CD's up to "Glimmer" and she has been one of my favorites. I saw her in a small club in Ann Arbor, Michigan called the Ark, and I enjoyed it very much.

Have you tried Rise. That's the only album I have from her and I absolutely love it. I'll have to look up the other ones.

steve,

wow -- i'd like to see her live -- she has just the sound that would be awesome in person.

i just saw that she's finishing an album in london -- it'll be interesting to see what it sounds like (hopefully with the energy/urgency she had on the earlier releases.
