that the freaking for sale forum is loaded with Senns? is it normal for someone to try and sell senn 650s for 230 bucks and not get any business done for a week?
I'm not selling those, but I posted my 595s for sale and two more popped up, neither of which have sold.

Everyone who owns the same thing now has doubts...maybe it isnt as good as everyone said...why else would someone be selling it!?!? Maybe I should also sell before the prices go crazy low...

It doesnt really get *MUCH* better than HD-650/HD-595/SA5K/DT-880/MS2 etc. unless you have megabucks to spend.

i'm selling cause i feel that the midrage feels veiled and the whole can lacks the level of detail I want, plus I don't feel that they are all that comfortable and I want replacable earpads and, if i go senn again, easier cables to upgrade. though I am still burning it in just in case the headstage gets "out of my ears", I don't feel like waiting cause of the other reasons and I want to try the beyer 880s or akg k501s instead. I could just buy them i guess, but i am keeping myself light on headphone numbers: one pair at a time if i can bear it.

I think people sit on the edge and when they see someone else selling it they realize they can sell it too for a pretty good price. I’d prefer to post an item when there isn’t a similar one to compete against.

Good point. The other two sellers are both selling for 30 dollars more

I looked through the past few day's posts and yes there's been more Senns for sale recently....plus a good assortment of Grados, AkG, and Beyers as well. It makes sense because there are probably more Senns out in the marketplace. With the large number of members and visitors to this site, and people's propensity to upgrade and sample various phones, it stands to reason there'd be a number for sale at any given moment.

Strangely enough, right at the moment I am living in the married couples quarters at Rutgers (far better than the married couples quarters at Rahway!

and didn't you sell the 595?

there's always lots of senns and grados afaik, sometimes there's more of one than the other, but there's usually a steady supply of both.

they'll sell, it's just a matter of when.

it took me 6 months to sell the sha!

uh hum... the politically correct way to express that in for sale forum is: Although they sound great, they're just not my cup of tea.

But it's true, sometimes FOTM drives the For sale forum as well... I remember when I just joined this forum, A900 was the FOTM, there was NO WAY you're going to see one A900 in the for sale forum...

But now, they keep popping up... It's not like they sound bad or something, or there is a current similarly priced cans that trounces the A900... Some people are just suckers for current hype...

Some people figured: "there is no midrange in this thing" or "too honky" and echoes goes around and amplified, making them sound so much worse than they actually are.
