I just made a loaf of homemade italian bread. My wife has a nice Kitchen Aid Mixer and I have the internet. It came out really good. I had to roast some garlic to go with it. Still waiting for my rootbeer kit.

Uh, sort of. We have a bread machine, and I "make" bread that way. Its really quite amazing. Just spill a bunch of ingredients in, and 3 hours later, BREAD!

Smell and taste fresh bread and you may just have to get one. We've worn out two machines, making a loaf a week.

I've got a Breadman Ultimate. Fresh-made bread rules, it's so good and smells wonderful! My only complaint is that the machine makes quite a bit of noise.

I gave my wife my maternal grandmother's recipe for Swedish rye bread ten years ago. She looked at it, scratched her head, and got to work (my wife is a GREAT BAKER). No real surprise, it turns out BETTER than my grandmother's (I feel a foot kicking my head from the grave!) Ten years later, we're still married, who knows . . . . .
