Any way to get bitperfect digital output from ALC888?

Have you installed ASIO4ALL and the appropriate plugin for your media player? (e.g. Winamp, Foobar2000)

It will bypass the windows mixer to try and make the signal as clean as possible. It might give you bit perfect output... but then again there could still be something else in the chain screwing it up. A good test to see if you are getting close to 'bit perfection' is to use the 'Wave' slider in the sound mixer in windows. If it has any effect, it generally means the signal is not bit perfect.
