Any unofficial firmware for Rio Cali?

I've looked but haven't come across any yet. Looks like you gotta dance with the gal you brung. Still, I love that clunky little player. Gave a nice long listen to my wifes new shuffle and compared it to my clunker and she blew the shuffle outta the water! Maybe it's not as cool and sexy as the stamp sized shuffle, but I'll take the sound anyday. If you find the firmware, keep me in mind.

No problem, i'll contact you if something show up.
P.S: how's the sound quality compared to the ZVM?
P.SII: The Cali is probably the ugliest DAP i've ever seen.

I think the ZVM is a better player obviously. As for the Cali, I agree that it's clunky and ugly but hey, it's all about the sound isn't it? Everyone in the gym has a much prettier and "cooler" portable than I do, but that's alright. I'm pretty content. I toss in a 2gb card and this little player served me all through my cruise workouts and all day lounging on deck without a hiccup. Best part is being able to simply pop in a new battery instead of facing a recharge. I know some will feel just the opposite about the battery deal but it does have its advantages.

I was thinking of selling this little dude some time ago, but upon reflection, I decided against it. It follows me as I work in the yard, in the gym, on the boat, and even on the jetskis!! Tough little nut.
