Hello,

Since Grado doesn't make any "closed" cans YET....can someone recommend something that may be similar with a  GRADO SOUND but are CLOSED?  Something around $150-200

Yes. V-MODA M80/V80s. Excellent sealed on-ear `phones. Plus they're tough as nails and look nice too.

The klipsch Image ONE are close to Grado in term of soundsignautre(warm, rich, bass, mids are more present).

Koss Pro DJ 100.

Less fatiguing highs, more bass, similar mids and much less grainy sounding than the SR-80.
It also has a better soundstage and better imaging.

If you compare the driver of the SR-80 and DJ100 they're the same size and look like they came from the same factory (I don't think Grado makes their own drivers).

I would say if you love the mids of the SR-225, you might love the mids of the DJ100.

DJ100 is better than the SR-80, but SR-225i and DJ100 might be a fair fight.

As I mentioned on the other thread on which you posed this question, the Beyer DT 770 Pro, Ultrasone HiFi 780 and Pro 750 come the closest to me.

I very much like the Koss DJPro100 family, but they are too smooth in a mid-centric way to be Grado-like.

That's what someone said in a review of Ultrasones, been happy ever since.

V-Modas cost more and are ugly as heck if you ask me, but to each his own.......
