Hi, Folks
Now I have an Audio technica W5000. I really like it but It seems to make me dizzy, I got a problem with it design (the headband) it puts a lot pressure on my head an made me dizzy everytime I wear it. So I have to find some another headphone with closed because I have to stay with my roommate and maybe easy to drive because I am a person who travel alot, The portable amp is ok. I like good treble, I love a bass of W5000 !.
Thank you for your suggestion.

i found the beyer dt770's very comfy, as were the akg 271s, both are closed, beyers have more bass, kind of boomy, i liked the akg bass better, it was deeper, and not boomy, i had the 250 ohm beyers, but the 80 are probably easier to drive then the akgs.

that's all i can say about that, good luck.

I would suggest looking into the Denon AH-D2000 headphones. Good closed all-rounders that are comfy and easy to drive

As the W5k is one of the best closed fons available, you better take into account that any change will propably lead to degradation. Haven't heared them myself, but I also guess that a D2k or the JVC woody will be the least downgrade.

Am I allowed to go around recommending ESW9 to all w5000 fans? :-P

Seriously. The headband design is different, should be fine.

Well, there is also D5000, JVC DX-1000, Edition 9 to consider, but those sound different. The last one will bother you alot more than W5000 as far as comfort goes, and costs mucho cash. All of them are good cans though, you can learn more about them if you would like a different flavor while at it.

Kaney are you sure you don't have an ear infection?
I would be very surprised if wearing a tight pair of headphones alone could make somebody dizzy

Maybe you could try loosening them somehow?

I have to let u know that I have never been dizzy with another headphone before. I used to wear alot of headphone even its not comfy but it doesnt make me dizzy. W5000 is my first ATH headphone with that style of headband
I felt that it put alot of pressure on my head maybe cuz of its weight or maybe my head shape. I really like it though but as you guys say I know it is a very terrific closed headphone available but how can i do? I can't wear it I have to let it go -_-

Anyway, Thanks for all your answer !
