My HD25's are about 6 years old by now and a second cable and ear pad replacement is coming up. I'm going to do that for sure, but I am also looking into other headphones. Not because I don't like that, but because I want to try something different.
But here is where I run into an issue: it holds such a specific niche I'm having trouble finding alternatives. My budget is up to about $300. The only alternative I found was the Momentum on ear. What I want:
- On ear
- Compact (thus on ear)
- Closed
- Rugged (I use them in pooring rain, cable gets snagged etc. I abuse them)
- No noise canceling (uses battery, I don't want to deal with that. Plus rain = bad)
- Not wireless
- Easy cable replacement.
