Does this only happen to me or what? Just recently I have put my
Headphones, amps, etc. Up for sale. On this forum. I have had numerous
occasions where someone will make a deal over several days 10 to 15 pm's
sent. I'll hear "I will send the money tomorrow".
Tomorrow rolls around and then nothing, did they have an accident,no!
Family member sick,no! Had to take dog to the vet no! Well i wonder what
happened.
I am looking on the buy/sell amp section and WHAT do I see. For sale
micro amp recently bought. HEY that is the same guy who wasted my
time to buy the same style amp!
Is there a feedback for people like this. I have tried to have integrity
when I have sold stuff on this forum. I am not perfect but I have always
tried to give the first person the first shot. If I say I will hold something
or if someone says I'll pay you tomorrow and I say sounds like we have
a deal. Then I don't sell to someone else. I guess what I am asking
is If BOTH parties have agreed to a deal. Then why all the Flakey people? Does a person's word mean anything any more? Does any one else seem to
be having this Problem?

That is why I tell people that whoever pays 1st, gets it. Simple as that. The only times I don't do that is when I have done business with the guy before and know they will come through.

In short, if you have another potential buyer who can pay faster, forget the 1st dude. It's a sale. Nothing wrong with that.

I've been very happy with my transactions so far. The only thing that's gone wrong is that one pair of headphones was slightly damaged in transit. I gave the buyer a full refund with shipping and it turned out OK. Just be careful and remember that sometimes people back out. It is frustrating, but I like to give the benefit of the doubt. If you're selling a good piece of gear at a fair price, someone else will want it.

Sadly we all take a risk, many times trying to be nice. Perhaps we should adopt the money in hand approach and forget about the "I will pay you tomorrow".

I understand that/But how do I let the potential buyer know that .With out
sounding like an a??hole?
And Thank You for responding.

No matter what you do, something like this could happen when you're dealing with wrong people at wrong place. And trust me, all sort of bad thing could happen when they play dirty on you.

You can not completely eliminate the risk of you dealing with wrong person though, I think you want to specify couple things in the deal, like expected payment time, shipping time and method, etc just to get rid of confusions. When the person agreed and did that, the deal is done. otherwise, the deal is off.

if someone is interested in an item and all their questions have been answered and price agreed upon, then there is nothing more to do but pay. if they cannot pay, then they are not a buyer. simple as that.

I understand totally,I just think it is lame and shady to agree
to buy something and flake out! Look I can understand if someone has an
emergency. But not the type of emergency that Screws somebody.
I guess what I am saying is do these people get a kick out of wasting
people's time. This guy has over 500 posts. Oh wait a minute HE OWNS
2 ZUNES,, Now I feel sorry for HIM. that makes me feel so much better.
I know now what is wrong with this guy, Like the songs that he SQUIRTS
from one of his Zune's HIS DEAL'S ONLY LAST 3 DAYS TOO!!!

He should at least PM you to say he's backing out, but otherwise, get over it. If there are other people interested in buying, sell to one of them.

I have asked sellers to wait a couple of days for payment and have never had one disagree. I have always made good on the promise...after all I am the one asking for a condition and feel my reputation is worth something. Sadly there are some that may renig on a deal but I would think they are few and far between.

Thankfully all my sales around here have been smooth.
Item put up for sale, someone respond, followed by a quick payment when the deal have been settled.

i have had on occasion a few people appear to commit to purchase an item only to never hear from them again. this definitely annoyed me greatly. a simple pm saying that they have decided to not go ahead with the transaction would have been more than acceptable. but no communication, i agree, is the definition of being a flake.

make a note of the person so you do not deal with them again and move on. nothing else to do.

If he would have sent a PM then I would
understand. I am just saying I have had 4 other transactions that went
great. It just seemed like I had quite a few others yanking my chain.
At first when I had a couple of people make offers on my Hd650's that had
flaked out. I thought to myself maybe they were kids.......

What I think my problem has been is the Low post count,No Feedback,
No Avatar etc. on my profile.......

I have enjoyed this forum for quite a while now.I just never had anything
that I thought people would actually respond too.

Thank You everybody for the responses. I really do appreciate all
the replies.
