Any NAD 3020 integrated amplifier owners or ex-owners here?

I just won an eBay auction for a NAD 3020B in excellent condition, both cosmetically and functionally.

I intend to use it with some bookshelf speakers, perhaps the nOrh 4.0 ceramics, and some AKG K1000's which I will have very soon.

Any other owners out there?

Great amp...had one for years. One of the best values of all time, IMHO. It will have more than enough power for any bookshelf speaker that I know of.

I've never tried it with AKG K1000, but I'm sure it has enough power. Might be a bit bright in the upper end (like my Adcom GFA-535 was).

Had one back in the 80's. Great integrated amp. Awesome phono section. A bargain for the time. It was a universally loved amp, by both the hi-end press and mags like Stereo Review.

I had one too.I loved it for the Holman designed phono amp section. It is also super easy to repair yourself. If you can get it for a good price and it hasn't been hacked, buy it.

I actually had to pay about $220US for it, but it is in impeccable condition, both cosmetically, and functionally.

Tuberoller: Can you recommend any budget turntables that I might be able to pair with the NAD?

I own a NAD 7020 receiver. which combines the 3020 integrated you've got with the 4020 tuner.

This really has a nice sound to it - can I even say warm? Almost like tubes. I use it as my spare bedroom system.

Here's the bonus ... it has an excellente headphone jack. At least mine is. Competes with dedicated headphone amps.

Take a look at the General and Vintage area's of Audio Asylum. There are a lot of mods you can do to make it even better.

Enjoy!
