Any metalheads?

I never imagined I'd get into metal, but I've been enjoying a lot of it lately, courtesy of a friend introducing it to me. It's mostly black, death, and thrash that I've been listening to. Some of the artists are; Death, Dark Angel, Dissection, Drudkh, Kreator, Mayhem, Neurosis, and Ulver.

While I'm not a "metal head," I went to my first Tool concert last spring and was completely mesmerized. I ended up getting all their CD's. Plus all the A Perfect Circle CD's as well.

Altough in this case, a power metalhead, my fav stuff includes epica, nightwish, edguy, sonata arctica, stratovarius and such things. If you would like something a bit more melodic, orchestral and definitively AWESOME i'd suggest you to try Once, by Nightwish, or Elements Pt1. By stratovarius.

New metal head here, though I tend to favor the power and progress side of metal. If you are interested check out Nightwish, Within Temptation (earlier stuff), Kamelot, Symphony X, Threshold, Seventh Wonder, and Conception.

Dark Angel and Mayhem are great bands, great representatives of their own genres.
