Hello All:

Any Marillion fans out there? I find myself listening to them more and more. I am really into the live album Zodiac, which I purchased from England. Any comments welcomed....

I'm a fan! well, mostly a fan of their work between 89 and 98, I'm a bit bored with their last three CDs, and their work with Fish is patchy IMO (most of Script and Misplaced Childhood are good tho). but albums like Brave and Season's End are classics! haven't heard any of their Live CDs, nor have I seen them...but maybe next time. I hear they're busy on a new CD, hope it'll be a good one!

Braver:

I thought Anoraknophobia was pretty good...I really liked Quartz.

You might check out "Made Again" a two disc set of live material, but the second disc is a live recording of the "Brave" set...very nice!

I see you are from The Netherlands...I used to live in Rotterdam, a long time ago.

yeah, Anorak definately has it's moments, and I think Quartz and Map Of The World are some of their finest moments since Brave.

I live pretty close to Rotterdam actually, just not in the big city, I like small towns better

Okay, I'm kinda late to this thread, but what the hell. I'm a HUGE Marillion fan. I love just about everything they've done (although sometimes for different reasons).

Faves: Pretty much all of Misplaced Childhood and Brave, This Strange Engine, Interior Lulu, Man of 1000 Faces, This Town/The Rakes Progress/100 Nights... I could probably go on for waaaay too long.

Hey, another fan here!! "Script for a Jester's Tear", "Misplaced Childhood", "Brave", "Afraid of Sunlight", these are just some of my personal favorites.

Another excellent British neo-prog band from the same period I also enjoy a lot is I Q. Some of their releases are all-time neo-prog classics IMO, such as "Subterranea", "Ever", "The Wake" and their latest, "The Seventh House".

Yep I'm a fan as well. Though strangely I only really got into them "after" Fish left.

Was lucky enough to see them live at Poole Arts Centre on This Strange Engine tour. Superb.

Cheers...

I like IQ as well. I don't have Seventh House yet, though.

I've only been fortunate enough to see Marillion once, and that was in San Francisco on the Strange Engine tour (the now-famous Tour Fund tour). Great show. I met Mark, Pete, and Steve R. after the show. All really nice, down to earth guys.

(Hi Demetrio)

Huge Marillion fan. I prefer Fish-era (Misplaced Childhood!), but some of the non-early Steve Hogarth era recordings are good, too (Afraid of Sunlight, Brave...I even liked Anoraknophobia).
