So I bought it off ebay, it came with no gumstick batteries so I got some off of ebay too. I had to also buy a charger for it, but the player was working fine. I charged the batteries, still fine... then I accidentally left it hooked up to the charger for ~2 days... dead...

It doesnt respond to anything, i have tried 3 different power sources, all are conked out...

I take it this means something on the board is toasted, but is there any luck in finding what it is? ive had it for a week and its dead... just my luck when my old soul player died too

Sounds like you should send it in to Panasonic for service... unless you feel confident enough to open this player up and play with its innards

I take it that your 3 different power sources includes the AC adapter... maybe the ebay seller ripped you off.

Possibly they did rip me off, but seeing as I have no warranty card or receipt... how can I get this thing service in?

I have already dismantled it once, but nothing smells burnt etc... maybe some capacitor got fried, I just have no clue where to start

I might sell it for parts

I hope you got it cheap... do you have any electronics-nerd friends? They can do some circuit testing for you, etc. The repair or replacement part could be inexpensive (or not) since the problem seems to be in the power section, and not, for example, the chips. Unfortunately, I don't know crap about electronics myself. Good luck!
