I thought such program might exist, but web searches turn up nothing... I am talking about something that let you you plug the headphone into the output jack, and plug a good microphone into the mic jack. Then the program will drive the headphones and use the mic input to generate a response curve.

I know the resulting response curve's accuracy will largely depend on the quality of the mic, but as long as the same mic & sound card are used, the program can at least do semi-accurate A/B comparison for different sets of headphones. It seems to me that this will be a more objective comparison method...

Anybody know whether such program exist?

RMAA cant measure HP frequency response, only source response (soundcard, portable, etc). I think HP freq responses are done using a dummy head with mics placed in each ear. This way it accounts for the shape of the ear too. I'm working off hearsay here, so feel free to correct me.
