I'm planning on buying some HFI 650's from Meier Audio soon. I was wondering if anyone here has tested both the Trackmaster and the DVD version of the headphone. I heard that the DVD was suppose to be "more bassy and darker", is that true? Some people say that the HFI 650's are sometimes a bit bright and will the 650 DVD's not be as bright?

And I have heard that the 650 sounds ok without an amp, but will it sound good with an Audigy? I plan on buying an amp soon but will the Audigy do till then?

The Trackmaster sounds very well balanced, some people might find them a bit harsh but I've definately heard harsher.
The DVD is indeed a little darker and has much more of a kick in the bass region. The treble isn't rolled off or anything, the bass just tends to give them a bit more bottom heavy sound.
