Looking for recommendations for friends on a really tight budget but want a decent canalphone (not earphone) that isolates and have a decent sound (balanced bass and details) and not boomy.

Of course, i'm not asking for the Super.fi or Westone or Shure sound or isolation at SGD40, just a decent sounding canalphone. I know of the mylars but those are still out of budget.

I've tried audio technica's canalphones and those seems rather anemic on the bass. Anyone else tried other stuff like the JVC Air Cushions or Marshmallows, or anything from Philips or Panasonic or any other brand? Remember the budget is below SGD40.

Would love to hear from you guys about this!

I have a pair, which is my cheapo go any where to work in ear phones. They are double flanged, fit nice, not tinny or boomy. Not the absolute best at any thing, but not the worst either. The chord has a built in volume control as well. Aiptek has more than 1 model, but the $20 pair plus shipping from Target.com is a great deal.

I copied the link for you!
