Ive been searching for over 5 hours looking for a  pc transport to go  with a new Benchmark dac1 (non-usb) I will be ordering, but still no luck yet. All recommended cards have no windows 7 support or are no longer for sale, not even on ebay. I heard somewhere that bit perfect is recommended, so that is what I'm looking for I guess. Im basically just trying to save the extra $300 from the usb version of dac1 which I heard is just a gimmick.
 
PC > ??? Soundcard transport ???? > Benchmark DAC1 (non-usb) > Headphones = Sony SA5000, Denon 7000, Sennheiser HD 650, LCD2 (soon), grado rs1i (soon), dx1000 (soon), Grado gs1000i (soon).

The Musiland Monitor 02 US might be a good option for you. It supports Windows 7 and also bit perfect streaming (through WASAPI or ASIO). They can easily be found on Ebay for about $120 new.

I've read Alpha owners claim async USB sounds better.

Basically, all I want is a way to install toslink or coaxial on my pc I custom build so I can connect an external Dac that doesnt have USB without sacrificing data sound quality (bit perfect).
