Any chance the DT880 pads would fit the CD3000's?

the DT880's are the largest round cupped phones i know of with velour pads, so i thought maybe... oh well. velour pads for the CD3000's would just be gravy, as they are rather comfortable in stock trim.

Sony CD1700 pads are made of velour type material...

They are transferrable to the CD3000, just means that you would have to cut away the material that covers the drivers (the pads themselves look like a mini paddling-pool if that makes it any easier to know what I mean)

They're good headphones in their own right, so take a look in the FS forums every now and then, incase a cheap pair pops up... and heck, if you don't like them... you've got the pads

...Or, you could buy a new pair from partstore... but just take a look at the price not cheap, just for a pair of earpads

because the shape of my left ear makes the earpad rub slightly. it's not uncomfortable, it is just ever so slightly irritating compared to my right ear, which fits perfectly in the pad. i knew this before i bought my CD3000's, and it really isn't a problem. the beyerdynamic pads don't have this issue, so i was just hoping. it's been a while since i used any of the full size beyers, and obviously they aren't quite how i remembered them. i was hoping that i could just remove the CD3000 pads and stretch the velour beyer pads on.
