I'm not myself, but I've been thinking about making my car's stereo nicer, as I spend an awful lot of time in it. Do any Head-Fi'ers do car audio here? I have no idea where to start looking. I'm not a car person at all but I'm comfortable with non-car stereos and didn't think it could be all that much different...

diymobileaudio.com - is a good forum for car audio--it's the equivalent of this forum for car audio

^yep. Seems like not many people do car audio like the 90s though... I did all the work myself from making the front/rear component adapters, wiring, and laying dynamatt, etc. It's quite an undertaking but do your research, think ahead and lay out the length of cable you'll need. Be patient do research and it'll be a fun project :) cr .

I think Crutchfield had a good guide too showing steps you can take to slowly improve the stock audio. I also used SonicElectronix.com to buy some hardware.
