I was just wondering if any members from here are going to the Phantom Gourmet BBQ Beach party this coming weekend?

It is $10 to get in and then you have your choice of the best BBQ the country can offer. Food is not included with that $10 though.

Link is here: http://www.phantomgourmetbbq.com/bbq2.htm

And no I do not work for the Phantom. I get to eat my first ever cannoli too!

Yeah the Bud stuff sucks. I cannot recall when I last had that poop. I can always go to the Sunset afterwards and have a decent selection.

I don't currently live in Boston....but my vote would be to skip the BBQ and just go to Sunset Grill

IMO, Boston can't get good BBQ...even if they try to get some traveling pits. Since "North Carolina Bar-B-Que" is coming from Virginia, I know it's not real NC BBQ. Any NC native worth his weight would tell you that NC already has the best BBQ....it's whether if it's Eastern or Western style NC BBQ

Other states like having feuds with other states....NC already knows they have the best BBQ, so they're the only state that keeps their feud internal

SUNSET!!!! Hmm, I might check out this BBQ Party. I've always liked Phantom's restaurant recommendations.

Yeah Sunset is basically my heaven. Trouble is I tend to eat a lot when I go there and I have to watch my intake now.

I cannot wait to get my hands on Firefly's BBQ again.

I'm surprised Harpoon/Sam Adams aren't involved. Nothing like a nice cool Harpoon IPA! Of course, I'm a proud card holding member of the Harpoon club and take advantage of their discounts/freebies whenever I can.

I've been to something like this, only a little more redneck locally. The stuff they had was pretty mediocre. Seriously, whenever my dad smokes ribs, they are much better than the ones I tried there. Of course there were no rib teams from the area (this is NC I'm talking about), at least none that I recall. I have to say that probably half the people there could have done a better job though.
