I own a pair of Grados Sr80 (sounds great) but I really can't stand the non-comfort I feel when I use them. I also have a pair of Sennheiser HD449, but I find them lacking in someways... Overall they are fine but I can't compare them to the Grados.

I mainly listen to Hard rock, Thrash metal, acoustic music, melodic stuff too... I'd like a great pair of fullsize between 100-200$
 
Any suggestions for my needs? I'm no audio pro, but I do enjoy music a lot, I want something I can truly feel my music with.

Have you tried some different pads? Might be a cheap and easy fix.

Tried the 414 Sennheiser yellow pads reverse mod. It's OK but I still find it uncomfortable. I currently own the L cush, ordered the s cush to try them out. I still doubt It will be any better

you need to gently bend the headband out....just alittle at a time...until , finally...comfort.

Also, G Cush are the only way to go for me to stand the Grados FYI.
