What's the budget?

you can buy a car between 500 and 1.000.000 $

And what do you want to do with it?

Hmmm, the Mitsubishi Galant or the Outlander could be also worth a look. Over here, Mitsubishi belongs to the top brands for dependability - just like Toyota and Mazda. Honda is fairly good, too - nevertheless, my own '94 Accord 2.2i had a few electronical and mechanical problems over time. Anyway, it was damaged in an accident ~ 2 months ago, so that repair wasn't worthwhile anymore - thus I've now got a new car (my first brand new one), which is a Mitsubishi Colt 1.6 Automatic (nice little car, good handling, reasonably powerful - and I also like the sound of the engine...).

Greetings from Munich!

I've owned more than one toyota through the years and I've never had major problems with them. Just the usual maintenance items like brakes, tires, fuel filters, etc.

Toyotas are very dependable transportation and are very well built. my 4 year old 4runner is pretty much silent as I drive. no rattles or noises. Tight is the word that comes to mind.

If you're commuting 100 miles per day you should check out the toyota hybrid. I've never driven one but they sound interesting.

With almost no budget constraint, I think I'd say BMW 3 or 5 series. These cars are nice to drive!

My first car was a 1984 Honda Civic Wagon. I kept it 14 years then sold it to a student. Now it is still going very strong-- 20 years later!

CTS V over a 3 or 5 series anyday, sub 5 second 0-60, it's great, it has headroom, beats the 5, and is a lot cheaper! (imagine an M5 that looks good at half the price..you get the CTS V)...personally, I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread (except for the T40 and D-EJ01/D-EJ915)

I just purchased a 2003 Ford Focus SE 4 door sedan. It comes in 3 and 5 door hatchbacks and a wagon. Aftermarket mods are very available.

I am very happy with the car so far. A lot of websites for it.

So far so good, at 900 miles.

I hear that, my '91 Integra has about 173,000 miles on it, and the only problem right now is a slight grinding dcoming from the front when I go super slow. Have to get that checked.
