Hey everyone!

'NOOB' that I am to the 'cans world', i'm researching a decent amp for my Sennheiser HD-595 cans, and just trying to get as much accurate info as I can from various sources, this site included.

I noticed a retailer that has this amp for about 250 bucks, which seems like a good deal for a tubed amp. Has anyone heard, or owned the 'HB1', and is it a good, reliable amp for the price? What are it's shortcomings, if you had to mention some? And would it work well with a lower impedance HP like the HD-595? Enquiring NOOB minds want to know!

Thanks in advance!

Current system: Denon HDCD/CD source; McIntosh MC162 amp; SoundValves SV100 preamp, Velodyne sub; Magnepan (Magneplanar) MG12QR speakers; 'Straightwire' interconnects; 'Silver Sonic T-14' speaker cabling.

Also have a classic 'Fisher 500C' tubed receiver from the 60's, with original 'Telefunken' tubes, hooked up to Magneplanar 'MMG' speakers using above HDCD/CD source!

Headphones: AKG K26P; Sennheiser HD-595; more to come i'm sure!
