First off I want to thank everyone that helped in my last thread. This one is going to be somewhat different since I cannot make my mind up
Here is what I want:
A Closed-Style Headphone
Impedance no higher than 90ohm (For iPod use)
Good bass + good sound reproduction
Something durable and proven
Replaceable components aren't a must but a very nice addition
Here is what I will use it for:
320kbps MP3's + Movies on my RockBox'd iPod 4G Photo
Misc. things on my home computer like games, movies and music.
Budget:
I could do $80 easily and with hopes and selling a few things I could do $200 max. I feel real comfortable with $150.
What I am eyeballing:
Low-end:
Sony MDR-V6 - I love the fact that they are rated well and that they are Sony + people use the same pair for years and years.
Grado SR-60 - They seem to be rated well around here and I AM open to trying something new even though these are open.
Higher end:
Beyerdynamic DT 250-80 - They look soooo comfortable and I like the replaceable parts. Honestly, if I had the money right now I don't think I would have a problem buying these.
Sony MDR-V7509HD - These are on the high end of my budget and probably the best I could get from Sony.
About Me:
I like music. ACDC to be exact. I like hearing and feeling the drums and bass. I want to get goosebumps while playing a game or watching a movie just from the sound alone. Currently I am using the Sony S2 MDR-G57 so that is the sound quality I am used to, I would like to get better sound than they provide. I am a big Sony fan but Sony is not a must.
With this information and your knowledge about headphones I hope I get some good responses back.
*EDIT*
OH and there are no stores around me that even carry these, let alone let me test them. So I cannot "try" before buying. I am putting my money in your hands.
