First off I want to thank everyone that helped in my last thread. This one is going to be somewhat different since I cannot make my mind up
smily_headphones1.gif

Here is what I want:
A Closed-Style Headphone
Impedance no higher than 90ohm (For iPod use)
Good bass + good sound reproduction
Something durable and proven
Replaceable components aren't a must but a very nice addition

Here is what I will use it for:
320kbps MP3's + Movies on my RockBox'd iPod 4G Photo
Misc. things on my home computer like games, movies and music.

Budget:
I could do $80 easily and with hopes and selling a few things I could do $200 max. I feel real comfortable with $150.

What I am eyeballing:
Low-end:
Sony MDR-V6 - I love the fact that they are rated well and that they are Sony + people use the same pair for years and years.
Grado SR-60 - They seem to be rated well around here and I AM open to trying something new even though these are open.
Higher end:
Beyerdynamic DT 250-80 - They look soooo comfortable and I like the replaceable parts. Honestly, if I had the money right now I don't think I would have a problem buying these.
Sony MDR-V7509HD - These are on the high end of my budget and probably the best I could get from Sony.

About Me:
I like music. ACDC to be exact. I like hearing and feeling the drums and bass. I want to get goosebumps while playing a game or watching a movie just from the sound alone. Currently I am using the Sony S2 MDR-G57 so that is the sound quality I am used to, I would like to get better sound than they provide. I am a big Sony fan but Sony is not a must.

With this information and your knowledge about headphones I hope I get some good responses back.

*EDIT*
OH and there are no stores around me that even carry these, let alone let me test them. So I cannot "try" before buying. I am putting my money in your hands.

Update:
I think I am going to get a pair of Beyerdynamics. Would it be wise to spend some more money to get the DT 770M or should I just stick with the DT 250-80? I think that the 770 Pro is a bit outside of my budget range. Any thoughts?

Don't get the "M" version of the DT770, that is a crappy sounding isolation monster for drummer playback. I bet the DT250 groovelizer will be a good choice.

dt 770/80 pros can be found on that auction site for around 150 fairly often ... thats where i got mine months ago

If I have to spend some more money, I would rather buy them from a store that I can send them back to. I'm pretty much set on buying them from BH Photo Video. I just wasn't sure if the "M" version was worth it or not.

Depending on money I will either get the 250's or the 770's. They will be 80ohm. Unless someone has something negative to say about the Beyerdynamic series.

In your price range, any Grado you can afford. Really, Grado. Love my SR 60s: guitar heaven.

x3 on the grados, but the SR-60's might leave you wanting more on the bass, SR-80s are probably a better choice, if not the SR-125s
