Im looking for a good pair of earbuds.
Right now i have a pair of sennheiser mx 500s ad feel like i could use an improvement right now. They are not bad but they are not too good either.
So here is what im looking for:

- not too much isolation (goodbye shures and etys)
- balanced sound
- reasonable price (30-40€ would be good 100€ would be an absolut maximum)
- they must be portable ( well, earbuds ... )

what would you recommend ?
Maybe some ATH-cm7 would be suitable but im not too sure about them since i only read one review and they are quite expensive.
What do you say?

sharp md-33
panasonic hje-50

sony ex71 maybe, but these are more bass heavy. These canal phones dont have as much isolation as shures or ety's, which should be fine for you. The sharp and panasonic have more balanced sound.

Actually i forgot to mention that i dont want any clip ons. So the Koss KSC35/75 are out.
I've already heared the sony ex71 but wasnt too excited about them. They didnt seemed like a real improvement to the Mx500s. I dont see the point in buying a pair of headphones that is only slightly better than the one i own now.

Must be earbud
Must be between 40-100e
Must not be Ety or shure
Must not be clip on

I cant think of anything else than ATH-cm7, and I know nothing about them. To get a good increase in sound you really ought to buy something different, I think. E.g. closed cans, Isolators, or something else.

Does that means that no pair of earbuds without isolation and for an affordable price can deliver great sound ?
that would be really dissappointing because i dont like the idea of wearing full size cans everywhere i go (same subject with clip-ons).

Sony e888 LP/SP.
I wouldn't call them great, but they are the best sounding buds I've heard.
If you limit yourself to buds, you're also limiting the SQ. Buds provide the least-best sound attainable out of every type of phone made (canal, circum, supra, etc).
