Hello I finally finished my first (probably not last) headphone amp.
Its a Cmoy. I have no electrical experience (had?) but I managed to make a pretty cool little amp. It compliments my Grado SR 80s very well. Big thanks to Cmoy, Tangent, and all the head-fi and headwize community. Already thinking meta42

Default gain, all hi spec resistors, included R5 just because cmoy said it was good for low impedance cans, silver bearing solder and one hell of a cool altoids tin.

Hello all. Hope you all had a merry x-mas , pretty bad of me to post this and then go off for the holidays. Thanks for all the compliments, however if you saw better the insides of this amp you might think differently. But hey it works and works well so that’s all that maters. I might build another Cmoy next for my brother (hi really likes mine) maybe a META42 in the future if time/money allows it.

you say you had no experience doing this before... i am in the same boat. was it hard to do? the boardwork seems fairly simple.

my mother does surface mounting and small scale parts for a living so she could really help me on this if i decided to do this.

can i get some links to the plans you used?

appreciate it.

i showed the schematics and parts list for the META42 on Tangents site to my mother. she said "child's play" rofl.

so i figure i won't be needing much help on the assembly end. but i might on part choice though.

thanks again.
