I am very sad to report the passing of longtime member and prolific poster smokey. John Hayes jr. of Fontana, CA passed away after a lengthy illness and disability on Dec. 1, 2005.
I would like to say how important this forum and it's members were to John.
I am his cousin. I had the sad duty of packing up all of his audio equipment this past weekend

Wow. I didn't really know Smokey other than thru his posts here. Yet that just hit me pretty hard. I really appreciate this place, and the people who I have been fortunate enough to meet through it. But I think I underestimated just how much we connect around here, even when we don't realize it.
