Can someone give me the rundown of how to use USB Audio Recorder Pro? I feel like I must be doing something wrong. I have listed compatible devices, an OTG cable, and get no sound coming from my E17.

I got it working with my E10, but my E10 ONLY works with that app. I don't understand why...
Just select the output and load a song, then press play. Also, it dosen't play MP3.

I’m wondering what is the SoC of your Galaxy S4: Samsung Exynos 5 Octa or Qualcomm Snapdragon.600.
 
It should be interesting to compare and analyze Galaxy Note2/Apex Glacier and Galaxy S4/Apex Glacier logcat and dmesg outputs.

It's the Qualcomm (although with my other Qualcomm handsets the Apex tended to work and the Pico not, just to confuse things).

do you have to use USB Audio Pro - or do they work in all programs ? (just like you can assign say bluetooth output to a speaker)
 
reason I ask is that about 30-40% of my listening is to films, tv programs etc

Works in all the media players, just like it did with my S3/Note 2/Butterfly/XZ.
 
Actually haven't tried a video player, should work the same there also.
