i would like to try this myself, but i don't have usb dac at the moment
"music stored on Galaxy S3 > USB Audio Recorder PRO player > digital USB audio out >> "USB OTG" cable >> FiiO E17 >> headphones"
Hi Danba. Which music formats have you got working with the recorder? It would be very exciting to be able to use it as the music player with formats up to 96/24. I have tried the USB Audio Recorder Pro with flac on Nexus 7/ FIIO e17. The program seems to recognize the DAC - but I cannot get it to play flac files from that programme, but the N7 works with the 4.2.1 ROM and Faux kernel, however only when attached before you turn on the N7.
I got it to work - did not recognize the button to choose music format.. It plays 16 bit music fine, but it distorts 96/24 files, even if it triggers the FIIO to choose that. Hopefully the developers just need some time to solve that.
What a wonderful development!
I should also mention that two others reported getting the E07K to work with a GS3 on a different thread here. What am I missing? Obviously it CAN pass the audio, but something is not right. As a last resort, I tried it immediately after a factory restore... no luck, so it doesn't appear to be a conflicting setting.

Are you sure of your USB OTG cable?
You could test it with a USB mouse.
As CZ Eddie, I don’t think this kernel supports USB audio.
"Added support USB-OTG [i.e. USB host mode] (Keyboard + Mouse + USB-Storage) [Only Full Version]":
. "Keyboard + Mouse" => it supports USB class for human interface devices (for example, mice and keyboards).
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/usb/UsbConstants.html#USB_CLASS_HID
." USB-Storage" => it supports USB class for mass storage devices.
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/usb/UsbConstants.html#USB_CLASS_MASS_STORAGE
. Not a word about USB class for audio devices.
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/hardware/usb/UsbConstants.html#USB_CLASS_AUDIO
If you have a USB DAC, you may test your Xperia using USB Audio Recorder PRO.
